Classes for ages 5-8

Lions, Tigers, and Bears
Monday July 7, Tuesday July 8, Wednesday July 9
9am-12pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials 

Join us on a animal safari around the world!  Students will use animals as their passport into creativity.  We will create pencil drawings, paintings, and 3-D sculptures of the animals and the adventures that they will embark on. 


Dancing Figures
Monday July 14, Tuesday July 15, Wednesday July 16 
9am-12pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials 

Let your artist dance his or her way into movement art!  Students will study how to draw the human form and capture the balance and rhythm of a body in motion.  We will design Yarnikin Dancers, wire sculptures, and much more in this class focusing on people and how we move. 

Pop, Snap, Crunch!
Monday July 21, Tuesday July 22, and Wednesday July 23
9am-12pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials

Your young artist will have the chance to walk in the shoes of an advertising artist!  We will visually explore what is like to work in advertising.  Students will create their own personal advertisements that will entice any observer.  This class involves painting, drawing, computer graphics and much more! 

Going On A Picnic
Monday July 28, Tuesday July 29, Wednesday July 30

Pack your picnic baskets and grab your sunscreen!  Kidcasso art students are going on a picnic saturated in color!  Young artists will discover warm and cool color schemes, delicious drawing techniques and mouthwatering 3-D concoctions inspired by food and the American past-time of picnicking! 

Classes for ages 9-12

Monet's Divine Gardens 
Monday July 7, Tuesday July 8, Wednesday July 9
2pm-5pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials

Claude Monet was best known for his colorful and lush landscapes.  Students will engage in chalk drawings, watercolor painting, and sculptural flower making in this unique 3- day class.  Students will use Monet as their guide to create one of a kind master pieces. 

Op Art Explosion 
Monday July 14, Tuesday July 15, Wednesday July 16
2pm-5pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials 

Op Art exploded onto the art scene in the 1960’s.  This type of art plays upon the idea of optical illusions.  Students will put on the magician’s hat as well as the artist’s and design black and white prints, mind-twisting paintings, and cutting-edge portraits. 

Jr. Runway
Monday July 21, Tuesday July 22, Wednesday July 23
2pm-5pm
$200 / This includes all supplies and materials 

Move over Project Runway!  Make way for the newest fashion designers on the block!  Students will learn first-hand what it is like to work in the ever changing world of fashion.  Your Jr. Fashion Designer will study figure drawing and story-board concepts.  They will sketch, paint, and create styles as unique as their personalities. 

Amazing Amusement Parks
Monday July 28, Tuesday July 29, Wednesday July 30

Kidcasso art students will study the wonderful and imaginative designs of Walt Disney World’s Imagineers!  We will study theme parks and how to build a story and create a thrill-seeking ride to go with it!  Students will draw, sculpt, and paint their way to the top with this inventive look into theme park design and construction. 

Please Note:  If you are interested in a summer art program for your artist ages 13-18, please contact Laura-Marie directly to set up private classes and or small group sessions which will be available throughout the month of July by appointment only.  

Fall 2008 Class Schedule

Kidcasso Art Studio Fall 2008 Pricing List:

 All classes are $220 for the 10-week session.  This includes all supplies and materials. Potential field trips may require additional fee.

 10–Week Session / Art Box

Ages: 3, 4, and 5

Art Box is designed for these little artists to create original pieces of artwork inspired by famous artists,books, and the world that surrounds them. Students will paint, draw, collage, and sculpt their way into the world’s“Art Box”!

 

Tuesday: 10am –11am September 16th- November 18th

Wednesday: 1pm - 2pm September17th – November 19th

Friday: 10am – 11am September 19th– December 12th (No classes on 10/10, 10/31, 11/28)

 

10–Week Session / Master Arts

Ages: 5, 6, 7, and 8

Students will be engaged in the lives and stories of famous artists such as Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Romero Britto, and many more intriguing artists.  Young artists will capture their own colorful personalitiesas they re-create famous paintings, drawings, and sculptures during this10–week session.

 

Monday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm September 15th– December 1st (No classes on 10/13, 11/24)

Wednesday: 4:30pm – 5:30pm September17th – November 19th

Thursday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm September18th – December 4th (No classes on 10/30, 11/27)

 

10–Week Session / Modern ArtMoguls

Ages: 9, 10, 11, and 12

Older students will have a chance to re-create and re-design the world of modern art.  Kidcasso artists will study a varietyof modern artists and learn how art can affect a culture and change asociety.  They will learn new art concepts and base their art off of those who came before them and the modernartists of today.  A field trip tothe ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) will be planned.

Wednesday: 6pm-7pm September 17th– November 19th

 

10–Week Session / Dream Machine

Ages: 4, 5, 6, and 7

Kids seem to always dream up themost wonderful stories, worlds, and people.  Students in this class will “dream” their way into thevisual arts.  They study artists and art styles that capture the true meaning of believing and dreaming as a child does.  Students will collage,print, paint, draw, and build their dreams to come true.  Join us for this unique 10–weeksession.

 

Saturday: 9:30am – 10:30amSeptember 20th – December 13th (No classes on 9/27,10/11, 11/29) * Class on November 22nd will be held at the BeebeLibrary, more info to follow.

 

10–Week Session / Growing UpArtist

Ages: 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

This class is designed for those students who eat, breathe, and sleep ART! Students will discover new art forms and styles as they sculpt, paint,draw, print, and collage their way through art history.  They will study a variety of artists from Rembrandt to Oldenburg. Students will take inspiration from the world around them and incorporate it heavily into their work. A field trip to the MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) will be planned.

10–Week Session / Jr. Artists

Ages: 13, 14, 15, and 16

Jr. Artists was designed with the teen-ager artist in mind.  Studentswill learn advanced techniques in drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, andsculpture.  They will work oncreating “personal statement” pieces and individual portfolio’s.  Students will be encouraged find their own inspiration for their work and will invest time in journaling, reflection,and critique.  A visit to the Decordova  Museum and SculpturePark will be planned.
